A thoughtful conversation on how the state of affairs globally is impacting equity and inclusiveness within the context of ECCE

On March 26, 2025 the Race, Racism, Equity and Diversity Working Group led a meaningful and thought provoking discussion on the powerful themes of two movies, “Origin” and “Stamped from the Beginning“, and their relevance to Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE). We all come with different experiences shaped by history, culture, power dynamics, colour of our skin, religion, caste and personal journeys—but we share a common vision: to nurture children in a world that values dignity, fairness, belonging and equity.

Together we explored how as individuals, family, community and power groups we communicate messages—through play, socialization, social practices, media and everyday interactions—that can shape a more inclusive and just future for all children.

People who commit their lives to young children and their families have powerful stories to tell and we can find our own hope and inspiration as we listen.  WoFo Global Café is the space where people gather to share their stories.  Stop by for tea and find affirmation and companionship.
