Creating Awareness on Inclusion
Anne Sivanathan, Malaysia and Jerry Parr, United States

“This has been one of my favorite projects to watch evolve… not a single person (child, staff, coach, parent, community member) has escaped its power to create change…” – Jerry Parr

The Inclusive Outdoor in partnership with JKP3 Subang Jaya and Willow Tree USA sponsored an advocacy training on inclusion through ‘touch Rugby’ The training covered, skills, adaptation and teamwork.

Much to the surprise of the students was how eager and adaptive the IOC children fit into the training. Families involved were impressed.

The Taylor’s students and coaches learned the importance of accommodation and their passion and eagerness was obvious. As the IOC students were benefitted from the experience, so were the Taylor students gifted with this worthwhile, life changing opportunity. Terrific global opportunity to promote the science of learning and evidence-based practices that promote life success.

People who commit their lives to young children and their families have powerful stories to tell and we can find our own hope and inspiration as we listen.  Bonnie’s Global Café is the space where people gather to share their stories.  Stop by for tea and find affirmation and companionship.
