Creating Dream Corners for Roma Children
Driton Berisha, Kosovo

This project aimed to support the young generation of the Roma community. It was made possible with the help of the community volunteers willing to support first grade Roma children with “Dream Corners”. The volunteers built small tables and chairs, collected different school supplies and arranged them at the families’ houses. This supports the first graders to have fun doing creative activities and have a more successful beginning of primary school. This project was supported by the World Forum Foundation through the program Global Leaders for Young Children, and Kosova Education Center.

People who commit their lives to young children and their families have powerful stories to tell and we can find our own hope and inspiration as we listen.  WoFo Global Café is the space where people gather to share their stories.  Stop by for tea and find affirmation and companionship.
