Your stories are the voices of children! On September 10, 2025 we gathered to continue our Inclusion Stories Project. Two compelling inclusion success stories, from South Africa and Kenya, as well as stories you brought to the Café were shared.
We all have had experiences with the barriers for fostering inclusion; it is hard work, but important work. Your stories inspire us all to continue this work and celebrate successes educating others, changing policy, or making daily activities more inclusive. The Working Group on Including Children with Special Needs are honored to share the successes achieved in the Café.
These Café stories and conversations and the results from our Inclusion Survey are shaping “Guidelines for Inclusion,” a springboard for you to explore ideas for inclusion in your setting. Stay tuned as we plan to share these “Guidelines for Inclusion” in more detail at the 2026 World Forum.
