- Message from Aye Aye Yee from Myanmar that was read by Bonnie during the conversation:
“Please extend the prayers to children of Myanmar whose lives have been very much negatively affected by February 2021 as the military take over the administration. The military has since then bombed schools and hospitals, put villages on fire, killed innocents including the young children, took hostage of children for their family members who were running away, so on.
The previous takeover in 1988 lasted for 14 years till 2012 when the duly elected democratic government was given the power back. We are not sure how this time will last.
All the gains in the services for young children are very much dwarfed, including the system building efforts.”
