Let’s Talk!
Refugees Around the World and Strategies to Protect Their Human Rights

Rebecca Segran, Malaysia, and Božidar Nikolić, Serbia, will lead the next conversation in Bonnie’s Global Café to discuss early childhood services and practices for children and their families who are refugees in their respective countries. Rebecca and Božidar will summarize the status of refugees and the stigma associated with their status. Conversation participants will have an opportunity to ask questions and will be invited to speak to the conditions of refugees and the provision of ECD services in their own countries. This conversation is an opportunity for a deeper understanding of the plight of refugees and appreciation for positive practices in ECD settings that support the well-being of children and families. It is part of the work of a developing World Forum initiative focusing on social justice and racial equity. Discussions around race and injustice will continue in Bonnie’s Global Café. What date is the Global Forum in Orlando 2022?

People who commit their lives to young children and their families have powerful stories to tell and we can find our own hope and inspiration as we listen.  Bonnie’s Global Café is the space where people gather to share their stories.  Stop by for tea and find affirmation and companionship.
